How to design the hen house and what equipment is needed at the same time?  It is an important part in the early stage of breeding, and also a topic of concern to each farmer.  

 

1. Type of hen house hen house is basically divided into two kinds: open type hen house (common hen house) and closed type hen house.  

 

Open hen house: The most common forms are hen houses with four walls of Windows, large Windows with a south wall and small Windows with a north wall, and playgrounds with or without a south wall. All or the vast majority of this kind of chicken shed is air circulation, sunlight, the temperature of the barn, environmental humidity mostly according to the seasonal change.  Because of the relatively limited air circulation and lighting, chicken sheds such as enterprise production management necklaces often enhance natural ventilation and lighting fixtures to fill the shortage of air circulation and lighting effect.  

 

Closed hen house: also known as windowless hen house.  The roof of the chicken coop is completely isolated from the four walls, there are no Windows on all four sides, and the environment is regulated by manual or instrumental controls.  The chicken shed uses artificial natural ventilation and lighting effects to control temperature, ambient humidity and air composition.  

2. Structural requirements of each part of the chicken coop  

 

(1) Foundation and foundation: the foundation should be deep and solid.  The ground should be higher than the outside, moisture-proof, smooth, easy to clean, brush and disinfect.  

 

(2) Wall: good wind and rain resistance and heat insulation.  Use brick and stone base more, outside the wall besmear cement, inside the wall besmear cement and lime, facilitate moistureproof and cleaning.  

 

(3) Roof: In addition to the single-pitched roof used by small span small chicken coop, double pitched roof is commonly used.  

 

(4) Doors and Windows: the door is generally located in the south of the south-facing chicken coop.  The size of the door is generally 2 meters high and 1 meter wide;  The two doors are 2 meters high and 1.6 meters wide.  

 

Open hen house Windows should be set in the front and back walls, the front Windows should be spacious, low from the ground, easy to light.  The window to floor area ratio is 110 to 18.  The rear window is small, accounting for about 2/3 of the front window area, high from the ground, can take advantage of summer ventilation.  Closed hen house does not have window, only emergency window and natural ventilation access vent.  

 

The length of the chicken house, length and height: the length of the chicken house depends on the roof of the chicken house, the kind of chicken house and breeding method.  Open type hen house general span is 6~10 meters, closed hen house general span is 12~15 meters.  

 

The length of the hen house generally depends on the mechanization level of the span of the hen house and the management method.  Chicken houses with a span of 6 to 10m are usually 30 to 60m, while larger ones are 12m and 70 to 80m in length.  Mechanical automation chicken shed can be longer, but generally not more than 100 meters, otherwise the production and installation of industrial equipment is more difficult, raw materials are not easy to deal with.  

 

The height of the hen house is determined by feeding method, defecation method, span and climatic conditions.  In the small span, dry, not too hot area, the hen house is not suitable for too high, the eaves height of the general hen house is 2.0 ~ 2.5 meters, the span is large, there are also double cage, the height of the hen house is about 3 meters, or the high level of the hen house from the roof 1 ~ 1.5 meters;  The height of high-rise residential chicken coop is generally 4.5 ~ 5 meters (1.8 ~ 2 meters higher than the general chicken coop).  

 

(6) Operation room and aisle: Operation room is the place where the keepers operate and store tools.  If the length of the chicken house does not exceed 40 meters, the operation room can be set at one end of the chicken house, if the length of the chicken house exceeds 40 meters, it should be set in the center of the chicken house.  

 

The position of the aisle, depending on the span of the chicken coop, flat raise chicken coop span is relatively small, the aisle is generally located in the chicken coop side, width 1 ~ 1.2 meters;  When the span is greater than 9 meters, the walkway is located in the middle, with a width of 1.5 ~ 1.8 meters, which is convenient to use car feeding.  No matter how long the span of the cage room, depending on the layout of the cage room, the walking path between the cage room is 0.8 ~ 1.0 meters.  

 

Playground: generally provided when the ground is flat.  The playing field is as long as the chicken coop, and about twice as wide as the chicken coop.  

 

Equipment and tools for raising chickens  

1.  Chicken coop is the main equipment of cage raising chicken house  

 

(1) Chicken cage: cage raising and raising young, generally choose 3-4 overlapping cage raising.  The total height of the cage is about 1.7 meters, the cage legs are 10~15 centimeters high, and the single cage is 70~100 centimeters long, 30~40 centimeters high and 40~50 centimeters deep.  The mesh is usually rectangular or square, the aperture of the bottom mesh is 1.25cm x 1.25cm, and the aperture of the side mesh and top mesh is 2.5cm x 2.5cm.  The cage door is located in the front, and the gap between the cage door can be adjusted in the range of 2-3 cm. Each cage can hold about 30 chicks.  

 

(2) Chicken coop: the three layers overlap, with a total width of 1.6 ~ 1.7 meters and a height of 1.7 ~ 1.8 meters.  The single cage is 80cm long, 40cm high and 42cm deep.  The mesh at the bottom of the cage is 4 cm ×2 cm, and the other mesh is 2.5 cm ×2.5 cm.  The size of the cage doors is 14 cm x 15 cm, and each cage can hold 7 to 15 chickens.  

 

(3) egg cage: combination form is common step shape, half step shape, overlap type, a cage length of 40 cm, 45 cm deep, 45 cm high before, 38 cm high, cage bottom slope is 6°~8°.  The receptacle outside the cage is 12-16 cm.  The cage door 21~24cm wide, 40cm high, the bottom edge distance is low, the rolling gap is about 4.5cm.  The aperture spacing of cage bottom mesh is 2.2 cm, and the weft spacing is 6 cm.  The diameter category of top net, side net and back net is very different.  In general, the spacing of mesh yarn is 10~20cm, and the spacing of fine yarn is 2.5~3cm.  Each cage can feed 3~4 chickens.  

 

2. Supply equipment includes feeding machinery and feeding trough.  The feeding system software of large chicken farm is mechanical automation, and the feeding equipment is tank type.  

 

(1) Chain feeder: it is one of the most commonly used feeder in China, and can be used for horizontal and cage feeder.  It is composed of feed box, chain ring, drive, runner, long groove, and some are equipped with feed cleaner.  

 

(2) Insert plate feeder: designed for dry chicken house, suitable for feeding dry powder at full price.  Type 9WS--35 tray feeder is composed of transmission, warehouse, conveying parts, trough, corner, bracket and other parts.  

 

(3) Pants: Long grooves and barrel grooves are common.  

 

3. Drinking water equipment  

 

(1) trough drinking water: the depth of 50~60 mm, the width of the mouth 50 mm.  There are "V" and "U" gutters.  Flat raises the cime inside chicken shed to grow commonly 3~5 meters, the cime length that chicken place occupies is commonly cheeper 1~1.6 centimeters, breed chicken 3.6 centimeters.
